Fight Club
Book Cover
Objective
The goal of this project was to create a book cover design with a focus on typography. I chose to redesign the Fight Club book cover because of its social critique and exploration of identity.

Process
I was drawn to the story’s duality, so I illustrated the narrator and
Tyler Durden on opposite sides of the cover. Since they’re the
same person, placing them side by side hints at the character’s
split personality without giving too much away. I also incorporated subtle elements of the characters in the typography, the narrator’s tie and Tyler’s iconic cigarette. To tie it all together, I also added texturing to the novel to convey the grungy, gritty feel.
